MIKE (guitar/manager)

Mike is a seriously passionate musician. He plays piano, guitar, bass, saxophone and he sings. His infectious exciting guitar playing in Panama always receives amazing feedback from guests.  Mike sets himself the highest standards possible every time and expects the same from anyone he plays with.  He has worked with many acclaimed artists, bands and session players such as Ozzy Osbourne, Kelly Osbourne, Pitchshifter (Mortal Kombat soundtrack), The Kooks, Steve Washington (Take That), Toploader, Carleen Anderson (Brand New Heavies), and Pete Friesen (Alice Cooper).  Mike even has his originally written songs requested by music publishers in Los Angeles! These experiences shine through him at every event.

 



GEMMA (vocals)

 
Gemma excels in audience interaction and prides herself on delivering a heart stopping show every single time she performs. Her vocal range and control is incredible and she has an innate ability to have the audience eating out of the palm of her hand! Gemma delivers like it`s the last show on earth every time.  Gemma has performed with Carleen Anderson (Brand New Heavies), supported Girls Aloud, Paolo Nutini, The Script and the late great Amy Winehouse.  She has also worked with Liberty X and Javine and appeared on ITV`s Madonna Mania.  Gemma has even toured across Asia and Europe!



REBECCA (vocals)

Panama is proud to present an incredible talent! Rebecca started dancing at the incredibly young age of 3 and started singing at the age of  10 and is currently in great demand.  Rebecca excels in contemporary and commercial styles including rock, pop,and R n B.  She is also an accomplished songwriter.  Rebecca has been performing for over 10 years and breathes vibrant life and enthusiasm into every event she sings at, treating each as if it were her last.  Put simply, Rebecca is magnetic!
 




LEO  (bass)

No-one plays a groove on the bass like Leo.  Due to his heavy funk background he locks into a riff instantly and is meticulous down to every single note.  His bass skills are constantly in high demand and he lends his talents to many in need of a 'one take wonder' all over the UK and overseas.  Leo writes and records regularly for television and his credits include Al Scott (The Levellers), Ace (Skunk Anansie), Eliza Doolittle, Carleen Anderson (Brand New Heavies) and Jason Knight (Reef).  Playing bass is only half of Leo`s musical talent as he is a monster on the electric guitar too!



 
 JON (drums)

Panama is very excited to have John in the band.  There isn`t enough room here to list all of his accomplishments!  He has played with some very high profile songwriters and producers such as Guy Chambers (Robbie Williams, Kylie Minogue, Kelis), Cenzo Townsend (Kaiser Chiefs, Snow Patrol, Bloc Party) and Rupert Christie (Coldplay, Greenday, Alphabeat).  On an international level, Jon has toured arenas in Eastern Europe with Czech Republic Pop Idol winner and multi-platinum selling artist Aneta Langerova (Sony BMG), performing to an audience in the region of 14,000 people per gig.  John has also performed on national television shows such as T4 (Channel 4), MTV Flux (MTV) and Children in Need (BBC1).  John is endorsed by some of the industries leading drum manufacturers.  This guy is a serious talent.

 

     
     GARY (drums)
          
Gary is a veteran of the live music scene utilising both disciplines of drums and bass guitar. Having honed his skills playing with various top tribute acts from Thin Lizzy to leading UK Jimi Hendrix impersonator “Asep Stone”, Gary has rocked audiences throughout Ireland, UK and Europe with highlights including recent appearances at the Download and Glastonbury festivals and playing with guitar virtuosos such as Gary Moore, Ritchie Kotzen and Guthrie Govan.  As well as playing for Panama he plays for Total Guitar’s voted “Best up and coming young guitarist” Ben Poole and continues  to devote maximum energy to his performances.
